Four Favorites: Winter Inspiration

Happy December! With the Thanksgiving holiday last week I have been lagging on posts lately but will begin to get posts up more regularly. Exciting news-- I ordered a DSLR camera on Thanksgiving and it came yesterday! I purchased a Canon EOS Rebel T3, which I thought would be a good camera for a beginner like me... now I need to figure out how to use it.

While my posts have been lagging, I do try to keep up with my #FourFavorites posts. If you haven't yet joined the linkup, what are you waiting for? I'd love to see some of your faves each week! This week I am sharing my winter inspirations and while I live in SoCal where we don't see much of a winter, I'm always excited when December rolls around for the holidays, particularly Christmas! This is one of my favorite months; December gives such a joyful and jolly feeling-- I love seeing everyone's decorations, gift shopping, and cooking/baking yummy food.

Speaking of decorations, we'll be getting our tree this weekend and I can't wait to decorate it. This year, I'm sticking with a gold and white theme and hope it turns out great. This weekend I also plan on starting my Christmas shopping, although I have no clue what to get pretty much everyone on my list :/

And last but not least, a freshly baked, warm batch of chocolate chip cookies are a must to get through the winter months. I have a bag of chocolate chips that are just begging to be used! I'm debating on using the bag of the package recipe or finding a new recipe, preferably ones that are a little crispy on the edges and chewy in the middle.. any recs?

What are some of your winter favorites?
