Review: MONAT Rejuveniqe Oil Intensive

iFabbo review

I recently received a sample of the MONAT Rejuveniqe Oil Intensive from iFabbo for review purposes and if I were to describe it in just word, it would be impressive.

Serum review

I recently mentioned that beauty oils, even oils used in cosmetics, used to be taboo in the industry, however, oils are now popping up everywhere and in all forms: Coconut oil, pumpkin seed oil, argan oil, maracuja oil, essential oils, marula oil and the list keeps on going and going. I myself have started incorporating more oils into my beauty routine and have actually had great experiences and results with them.

All the ingredients in the Rejuveniqe Oil Intensive are naturally-based and products do not contain parabens, sulfates, PEG, and other harmful ingredients. The main oil used is Abyssinian Oil, which is a light oil produced from the Abyssinian plant seeds (in the mustard plant family) and contains a high mix of C22 fatty acids, which are especially nourishing and protecting for skin and hair. On the skin, Abyssinian oil helps to provide moisture without clogging pores.  The oil treatment also includes Camelia, carrot seed, and meadowform oils among others.  The mix of oils and ingredients in this treatment creates a light citrus scent, much akin to my essential oils but not as strong—it’s very spa-like and enjoyable. The bottle itself is sleek, with a cool futuristic press down dropper, a great (and fun!) packaging design.

The multi-purpose oil treatment can be used on both hair and skin—both of which are on the drier side for me. When I first squeezed a drop of the thick oil onto my hand I thought, ‘No way, this is going to make me look greasy!’ Don’t let the consistency scare you, it’s thick in a luxurious way yet still manages to feel light-weight on my skin and does not leave any greasy residue on my hand, skin, or in my hair. In fact, I didn’t look like a greaseball in the slightest.

The oil treatment claims that it will protect skin and hair from damaging environmental influence, help naturally replenish sebum, alleviate dehydration caused by harsh cleaners and styling products, replenish hair and skin by absorbing quickly, and delivers significant shine, strength, and manageability. So, how did it live up to these claims?

For the past two weeks I have been applying the Rejuveniqe to my face, mainly at night on clean skin just before bed, but sometimes fresh out of the shower before applying my makeup. I find that it absorbs easily and I wake up with hydrated, super soft skin. As in —as bad as this is— can’t-stop-touching-my-skin soft! After washing my hair, I will run a dab through my damp hair, mainly to my ends which are dry and can use the extra help. I will even rub a little on dry hair to help to smooth any frizzies and give it a healthy sheen. You can also use this oil on your cuticles, and rub it onto patches of dry skin such as the elbows and knees.

Monat Rejuveniqe Oil Intensive

For me, the oil is impressive because of the quick results. As stated above, I have only been using the product for two weeks and it has already made a noticeable difference, especially with my skin. My hair has a gorgeous shine and my skin feels hydrated and healthy. My experience is with normal to dry skin (with the occasional hormonal breakout) and dry hair, so results may differ depending on your hair and skin type.

I could not find a single thing about Rejuveniqe that I did not like. The only con I have is the price, at a luxury price point of $99 it’s definitely a splurge, but is one your skin and hair will be thankful for, especially during the drier winter months ahead. A little goes a long way so the bottle should last for some time. The holidays are coming up and it’s a fantastic wish list item and/or would make an excellent gift!
