Superbowl Must-Eat Munchie Recipe Link Roundup

Superbowl party food

Let's be honest... I could care less who wins the Superbowl this year. Aside from a slight crush on Tom Brady, I'm just not a football fan. I am, however, a fan of Superbowl parties-- it's a great excuse to have some friends and family over and eat some delicious munchies.

This year, my family is having a potluck over at my grandma's for Superbowl and I'm still not entirely sure what I'll be bringing. I've been scouring the web and my favorite food blogs to come up with some yummy dishes and finger foods, so if you're in the same boat and need a few ideas on what to serve/bring to your Superbowl party (or any game day/ tailgating feast), try one of these. Best part? They're not all entirely bad for you, I included several healthier options of game day favorites as well!

What's better than melted cheese and beer? When they're put together of course! HonestlyYum serves up a mean plate of their Superbowl Beer Nachos.

Chili is a Superbowl staple-- it's easy to cook up a big batch for everyone and there's so many varieties-- turkey, green/white chili, all meat, beans whatever you like. My favorite is a classic beef and bean chili, such as this recipe from Fabtastic Eats.

Need a vegan- friendly option? I made this delicious lentil and bean slow-cooked chili from Two Peas and Their Pod this week and it was phenom!

It's just not Superbowl without the buffalo wings. For a healthier option and to mix it up, serve up these Buffalo Chicken Lettuce Wraps from The Hopeless Housewife. No fork required, just pick up and eat!

Mini Potatoes

Potato skins are one of my favorite munchies-- especially slathered in cheese and sour cream but they're not exactly high on the healthy list. To fill that craving but keep the calories down, try these Mini Loaded Potatoes from The Curvy Carrot. How cute are they??
Queso

If you're not at all worried about the calories and want something ooey, gooey and cheesy, this Queso Fundido from What's Gaby Cooking is the ultimate of cheese dips.

Need an easier recipe? This Crock Pot Queso will save you some time.

Wold Market cheeseburger sliders

Chicken, beef, veggie, pulled pork... sliders come in all different types. Me? For game day, I'll stick with the all-American Cheeseburger Sliders topped with my favorite condiments and classic burger fixin's.

Turkey Meatballs

My co-worker is always talking about these Sriracha Turkey Meatballs she makes and for good reason-- they are good and spicy! I came across this similar recipe from Budget Bytes that sounds just as amazing!

iFood Real 7 Layer Dip

What's a party without a 7-Layer Dip? Layers of cheese, salsa, beans, guacamole... lighten it up with this recipe from iFood Real.

Homemade pretzels
Image via
You could bring a bag of pretzels to your Superbowl party but how awesome would you look bringing these Mini Pretzel Bites from Center Cut Cook instead? Serve up these lil guys with a mustard dipping sauce, or even a melted cheese dip.
Prosciutto pizza from Food Plus Words

Last mini item, I promise! Add some more fun to your Superbowl party with Mini Pizzas- prep the dough ahead of time and set out an array of toppings and let your guests make their own! How delicious do these prosciutto fontina pizzas with caramelized onion from Food Plus Words look?!?

Thats What He Said Rice Krispy Treats

With all the savory munchies, every party needs it's sweets as well. These Football Rice Krispie Treats from Thats What He Said are a snap to make-- just use store bought frosting for a football decorative touch!

I hope these recipes helped provide you with inspiration for your game day party, what I love about them is that you don't need to be a chef or use crazy ingredients to make these awesome munchies. Whether you're watching the game or not, I hope you have a wonderful Superbowl weekend!

Dress: Target (similar) | Jacket: mark. (similar) | Boots: Candie's | Beanie: mark. | Necklace: Nashelle | Ring: Amrita Singh

I'm back at it with my combat boots. The weather turned gloomy so of course they had to come out! This time I paired them with a cute floral dress I picked up at Target a couple of summer's ago and my trusty military jacket, oh and a pair of knee highs. I guess I'm trying to bring the '90s back?

BIG thanks to Bailey over at Poprocks&Peacoats for helping me out with photos!

Four Favorites: Color Blocking

color block

This week my posts are all about color and today's Four Favorites are no different. Color blocking has been a trend for the last couple of years and it is still very much popular. Color blocking is a piece in which multiple complimentary color solids are put together; you can find color blocking in specific pieces, or, as in the photo above, wear and accessorize by pairing bold, solid colors.

1. Fossil Sydney Zip Phone Wallet: Love the color blocking blue and mint shades, along with the awesome textured white!

2. Calvin Klein Colorblock Maxi Dress: Color blocking doesn't just have to happen with color, neutrals look amazing as well!

3. Seychelles Strike A Chord Heels: How gorgeous is this lavender shade color blocked with grey? Very cool pairing.

4. Sole Society Dalia Colorblock Vegan Tote: This bag (on sale!) is just screaming summer/spring to me with the vibrant yellow and soft beige.

Are you a fan of the color blocking trend?

Good HUES-Day: February Nail Polish Trends

Happy HUES-Day! Inspired by a couple of other nail polish blog posts and having my sister try some fun nail art on me this past weekend, I wanted to round up a few of my favorite nail polish shades I'm crushing on for February. The month of reds and pinks, I had to shake it up with a fun purple and a couple of metallics, including a gorgeous, deep blue!

Which nail shade will be on your digits (or piggys!) next month?

High Five For Friday

Well, today I was going to share a pizza party post however as I was about to input images I couldn't find them and am pretty sure I deleted them. Total dumb dumb move. I guess that means I'll have to make more pizza :P

Instead I'm going to share 5 favorites from the past week:

I'm in and out of the top 8, which is where I need to be in order to win a spot as a blogger at WWD MAGIC. Today is the LAST DAY to vote and I need your help! Please head over to Facebook and vote for me before 11 pm tonight:

Love this quote from DVF and find it to be so true! Over the year's my personal style has evolved (and it hasn't always been good), but I feel I'm at a point where I know what I like and what will fit my body right.

Caught a gorgeous sunset shot of Steve this past weekend, here's a few more photos. Not too sure about his personal flannel-and-baseball-hat style :P

How can you not saw 'awww' when seeing these two cuties getting cozy on the couch together? The big guy in the back is Sammy, my cat who lives at my parents' and the lil gal is Sprinkles, my sister's kitty.

This past weekend I mixed up my own skinny margaritas with my new friend, Jordan, using my juicer to juice fresh limes and an orange-- they were a tad on the sour side but an extra squeeze of agave helped. Yum!

Oh, and here's the only image of my beautiful pizza I still have:

Let's all give a high five for Friday!

"Winter" Sunset + LAST CHANCE for $20 Target Gift Card Giveaway

Dress: Tanya Scheer (gifted) | Boots: GoJane | Hat: H&M

Between the gorgeous weather (read: warm. Sorry rest of the country!) we've been having and the devastating Colby Fire that took place last week, the ski has been amazing. Blues, mixed with pinks and gold; the perfect opportunity for photos... and the chance to wear my new favorite floppy hat!

Tip: For sheer dresses such as this, wear a basic slip dress underneath. I picked up a solid white tank dress at H&M for about $5 and it's perfect to wear under this dress.

Be sure to enter my giveaway for a $20 Target gift card, it ends tomorrow! Also ending tomorrow is WWD MAGIC's #IWantToBlogAtWWDMAGIC contest, I need to stay in the top 8 to win. Please, take a quick second to vote every 24 hours to keep me in the top 8, I need all the votes I can get! January Beauty & Fashion Favorites

January favorites

For this week's random Four Favorites theme, I'm rounding up my favorite beauty and accessories from January.

1. On Your Mark Necklace, Stella & Dot: After the holidays, I gifted to myself S&D's Renegade Cluster Bracelet (a new favorite!) and the On Your Mark Necklace from their Maya & Brenner collaboration collection. I love how dainty and sweet the necklace is... plus it's perfect to wear for Valentine's Day!

2. Floppy Black Hat, H&M: While holiday shopping, H&M offered shoppers a $10 off coupon on future purchase. When I spotted this black hat, I immediately knew what my $10 was going towards! I'm thinking I might do a future DIY to change up the band on the hat. Maybe feathers? Any other suggestions?

3. Studio Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder, e.l.f.: Reviews of the blush/bronzer duo in St. Lucia tout how it's a close match to NARS' Orgasm/Laguna duo and they're pretty spot on. I've been using it almost every day this month so far and the best part? Just $3!

4. First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream: It may be warm out here in Los Angeles, but the air is so dry. This intense repair cream was included in my winter Allure Beauty Box and I have been using it on my hands daily. Just a small amount goes a long way and it leaves my skin feeling moisturized but not greasy. I hate greasy!

What have you been loving this month? Come join the Four Favorites linkup each week with Let It Be Beautiful and Fancy Things!

Meatless Monday: Recipe Suggestions & Links

I was totally planning on having a #MeatlessMonday dinner tonight, but I had made shredded beef tacos this weekend and want to use up the leftovers. I guess it will be Meatless Tuesday this week instead (just doesn't have the same ring to it!). I try to cook a couple of meatless meals a week, but honestly, I'm not a huge fan of veggies. Celery? No. Squash? Nope. Tofu? Meh. Zuchinni? Maybe if it's fried and there's a big ol' side of ranch dressing to dip it in. Not exactly a healthy meal.

Luckily for me, with Pinterest and food blogs I follow there are always inspiring food posts and recipes with ingredients I love. Here's a few I've come across lately (a few I've even tried!) that are perfect for #MeatlessMonday:

Slow-Cooker Lentil & Bean Chili via Two Peas and Their Pod

Going to make this chili this week, I want to start eating more lentils.

Black beans and sweet potatoes make magic together, jus' sayin'

This one has become a #MeatlessMonday favorite... quick and easy too!

So good, the avocado ranch is a MUST!

Great to pack for work lunches, too!

Also, I made it as a finalist for WWDMAGIC's #IWantToBlogAtWWDMAGIC contest! Please, please, please take a moment to vote every 24 hours to keep me in the top 8: VOTE HERE. Thank you!

Do you have any share-worthy #MeatlessMonday meal ideas?
