DIY Pumpkin Pie Spice

It's amazing though how many people think pumpkin pie spice has well, pumpkin in it. It doesn't. It's full of the warm, yummy spices that makes pumpkin pie taste so good-- cinnamon, ginger, cloves... absolutely no pumpkin! While you can buy a jar of pumpkin spice to have at your disposal, it's SO easy to make at home and you probably already have these spices on hand. Not just used for pumpkin pie, you can sprinkle it in coffee, on squash or sweet potatoes, yogurt, whipped cream, whatever you want to give a yummy spice kick to. Here's the easy DIY:

Pumpkin Pie Spice
1 tbsp. Ground Cinnamon
2 tsps. Ground Ginger
1/2 tsp. Ground Allspice
1/2 tsp. Ground Cloves
1/2 tsp. Ground Nutmeg

Measure out all ingredients into a bowl and mix together with a whisk. Transfer to a spice jar. Double measurements to make a larger batch.
