A girl friend and I were chatting the other night and it came up that we should have a girls-only spa night. How fun would that be? We could do mani/pedi's, face masks, and other fun at-home beauty treatments. Totally girly, right? It then hit me how perfect the products I was testing out from Perfectly Posh
would be for a pampering spa night such as this.
One of my friends, Beth (we met through mark about 10 years ago!), recently became a consultant with Perfectly Posh
and sent me a few samples a couple weeks ago to try out and I must say, I'm impressed! Click to read more about this line AND enter the giveaway for a chance to win one of the products for your own day of pampering.
One of the best things about Perfectly Posh has to be the fun product names (they have a product named 'Mint For Each Other' hehe) and their cute packaging, but I am also loving the fact that the products are cruelty-free, made in the USA and use natural ingredients and essential oils. Overall I was impressed with the quality of the product and efficacy of the products. Here's a few Perfectly Posh
products I had the pleasure of testing out:
I will swear to you that the Key Lime Pie Big Fat Yummy Hand Creme
smells exactly like a kay lime pie-- it's a little bit sweet, has that tangy lime scent and is incredibly moisturizing. I'm really picky about hand creams because I don't like a greasy feeling on my hands. This one is perfectly moisturizing without being greasy- a definite plus for me!
On the other hand, the Moisturize 911 Caffeinated Face Creme
was a tad on the greasy side, at least for me. I definitely wouldn't recommend this moisturizer for oily skin but if you have dry skin it would work well for you. I do, however, think the fact that it contains caffeine to tighten and brighten skin is pretty great. The moisturizer does have an immediate tightening effect. I still have some left and will give it another whirl.
The bottoms of my feet have been looking pretty sad lately-- my heels have been very dry and have even started cracking- ick! I've been trying the Warm Your Sole Warming Foot Balm
to help soften and hydrate my feet. The foot balm features orange and cardamom oils, which create a cozy warming sensation (my feet are always cold so I loved this!) I'm going to try it as an overnight treatment by putting a pair of socks on over it tonight.
PP also has a cooling foot scrub if that's more your (toe) jam. I also just bought their cult-fave Heebie Jeebie Foot Peel Kit
, which I'm excited to try as I've read the reviews and it sounds amazing. Fingers crossed it helps my poor feet out!
As the name Muddy Honey! Healing Body Mask
implies, this product contains honey to help moisturize skin. I had never tried a body mask before and thought this was pretty cool. After showering and drying off, I rubbed this all over my arms and tops of hands, which have been extremely dry lately. The product applies smoothly and dries quickly so I was able to apply my makeup and go about my activities while it set. After 30 minutes (okay, it was longer because I totally forgot it was on), I rinsed it off. My arms felt smooth, soft and even looked less dry. I followed up by applying lotion to help continue to moisturize my dry skin. I think after long-time use this product would be very beneficial- I need to get the full-size now.
This has to be my favorite product so far! The Be Sweet. Stand Tall. Wear A Crown. Chunk Big Bath Bar
is a pineapple-coconut moisturizing bar of soap perfectly fitting for summer. There are small pieces of coconut shell powder that gently exfoliate, while shea butter moisturizes. The best part? It has that summery pineapple scent. Love this!
