Wide Awake: Nude Eyeliner Tricks for Tired Eyes

Friday, I am so happy to see you! Even though I had Monday off, this week has felt long and I've felt super tired. I haven't slept good the last few nights and it's been showing in my face, especially my eyes. Does this happen to you, too? Luckily I have a quick trick using nude eyeliner (no not white!) to help wake up those tired eyes.

Keep reading for a quick how-to, along with my product picks>>

BEFORE
You can pile on the concealer and color-correctors but sometimes, there's just no help for dark circles and tired looking eyes. This week, I've been finding myself grabbing a nude eye liner and a nude shadow stick to help perk my eyes up.

First, I apply a nude liner to the lower inner rims of my eyes. I really like LancĂ´me Drama Liqui-Pencil™ Longwear Eyeliner because this creamy eyeliner glides on easily, is long-wearing, and very pigmented-- the nude actually shows up!

Next, I apply a light/nude shadow stick to the inner corners of my eyes. I use more of a white nude as opposed to a pink nude, such as
essence makeup 2-in-1 Eyeshadow & Liner in Light Me Up (I received this in a goodie bag in Canada, I haven't seen it here in the states though or on their US website. I hope it's available here soon!). Another option is the e.l.f. Eyeliner & Shadow Stick in Pearl/Glow. I then softly blend it out with my finger into my shadow.

AFTER
There you have it! Eyes instantly look brighter, more awake and 'pop' more. I like using nude liners and shadows rather than stark white as they look more natural and less severe.

Would you try this beauty trick? How do you wake up tired-looking eyes?
