Summer to Fall Dress

September is always that weird month, especially after Labor Day-- it's still summer but everyone is already gearing up for fall. I keep seeing PSL everywhere (I think I may be one of the only white girls that's not a super PSL fan!), Halloween decor is already out, it's nuts. While I do like a weather cool-down, I still want to be able to wear my cute summer dresses.

Keep reading to find out how I easily transition my summer dresses to fall...

I have three go-to's when transitioning my dresses to be more seasonal and fall-weather ready:

1. Wear Booties: I mean, who isn't excited to break out their cute booties? It's still a million and one degrees out here in SoCal but I'm already pulling on the booties.

2. Add a Jacket: Or a dark hat, or a sweater, or scarf to instantly make your outfit cold-weather ready. One of my favorite fall jackets is my beloved faux leather jacket that I've had for years. It's now perfectly worn and I love how it gives my pretty floral dresses an edge.

3. Darker Makeup: Add a dark lip, smoke out the eyes, anything that darkens your look instantly looks more "fall." Not a fan of dark shades? Add more Earth-tones such as browns, coppers and golds, you can never go wrong with a classic nude or red lip!

  3. I love your kate spade bag! Adding a jacket and boots is a perfect way to transition the dress into fall, then you can just take the jacket off when you are hot... I love adding tights too when it gets colder, even to summer dresses.
