I feel like I say this every month, but I really can't believe July is over-- didn't summer just begin?? I'm looking forward to August though; I'll be heading out to South Carolina for a conference and will be staying a few days and heading down to Savannah, Georgia as well. It's SO beautiful out there and very charming- -I just hope it won't be too humid. Then again, my dry skin absolutely loves the humidity- I get a nice glowy and dewy look out there.
While on the subject of skin and beauty, I wanted to share a few beauty products I have been loving this past month-- here's a peek at my top 5 beauty must-haves from July:
1. Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder
For years I have been using pressed powder to set my makeup but recently made the switch to loose powder after watching a few YouTube tutorials that featured this particular powder. Apparently, it's one of the top loose powders used by makeup pros and beauty gurus- and now I'm adding it to the top of my list! I like how it sets my concealer and foundation and blends in easily-- plus, I can apply it with a BeautyBlender.
2. PÜR Cosmetics Velvet Matte Liquid Lipstick in Oh Bae
Not only is this pretty much a perfect pink-nude lip shade, I am loving the matte finish and the amazing staying powder. The formula is lightweight and airy-- almost like a mousse-- and applies extremely smoothly. You can bet this one is in my purse 24/7.
3. butter LONDON Nail Lacquer in Tiddly
I have about a zillion and one nail polishes-- reds, light pink, hot pink, teal, yellow, purple, glitter, you name it, but his pretty peachy pink shade has become my summer staple. I don't even want to wear another color- just this one please! You can read all about my butter LONDON summer look featuring this shade.
4. Bioderma Sensibio H2O- Makeup Removing Micelle Solution
I've tried makeup remover lotions, wipes, cleansers, you name it and nothing has come close to taking off makeup as well as micellar water does. I love that Bioderma is for sensitive skin and removes every last bit of makeup. If you've been wanting to try out micellar water cleansers, you will not be disappointed with this one. I also recommend this as a budget option.
5. Korres Shower Gel in Water Lily
With a fresh, clean scent with a hint of floral, this shower gel is relaxing, refreshing and cooling (does that make sense?), which feels so nice after being in the dry summer heat.It lathers nicely and feels moisturizing on my skin. This shower gel definitely gets two thumbs up from me.
