JERGENS Natural Glow Wet Skin Moisturizer Review

Can you believe summer officially starts this week? The past few days have been insanely hot-- definitely pool/beach weather. While I do love being outside and getting a nice summer glow, I have to be ultra careful with my skin. While in college, I had to have a suspect mole on my back removed which the doctor said it would most likely have become cancerous... yikes! Since then I limit my time in the sun (and tanning beds are a definite no-no) and am always on the hunt for alternative ways to get that perfect, natural-looking summer glow. I recently picked up JERGENS® Natural Glow® Wet Skin® Moisturizer Fair to Medium and it has quickly become my new go-to product for getting that gorgeous glow.

What's unique about the JERGENS Natural Glow Wet Skin Moisturizer is that you apply it directly to wet skin. Crazy, right? If you think about it, it does make sense. After showering your pores have opened making your skin much more susceptible to absorbing moisturizer, leaving skin super soft and hydrated. This moisturizer goes above and beyond by gradually tanning skin for a super natural glow.

Unlike other sunless tanning products, JERGENS Natural Glow Wet Skin Moisturizer has a soft scent (it does not have that 'tanner' smell), doesn't stain palms or clothes, and provides a natural-looking streak-free tan gradually with continued use. It's a lot easier to use than having to deal with sunburns or poor tanning jobs. I love that my skin is able to have a perfect glow all summer long!

JERGENS Natural Glow Wet Skin Moisturizer Review

How to get a natural looking summer tan with JERGENS Natural Glow Wet Skin Moisturizer

To use:
1. Apply directly to wet skin immediately after showering/bathing. For best results, I recommend exfoliating with a body scrub and shaving prior to application. Be sure to use sparingly on drier areas (elbows, knees, knuckles, etc.) so color looks most natural on skin.

2. Towel dry as normal- this will help you achieve the best, streak-free, natural-looking color. Don't worry! The product will not stain your towel or clothes as the DHA only interacts with skin, not fabric.

3. As this is a gradual tanner, color will develop within 3 to 5 days of continued use. Pretty neat, right? After using for a couple days, my skin is already starting to look tanner.

You must use this product on wet skin as the formula was designed to blend with water to lock-in moisture and start developing the color. I love how easily and smoothly it is to apply and how moisturized and hydrated my skin feels immediately after toweling off. The moisturizer is available in two shades, Fair to Medium and Medium to Tan, and you should choose the shade based on your natural skin color. You can shop the JERGENS Natural Glow Wet Skin Moisturizer online and in-stores in the beauty section at your local Walmart.

Staying Healthy with LoveBug Probiotics

LoveBug Probiotics available at Target

Growing up I was always having stomach aches-- if I ate too much it hurt, if I ate certain foods it hurt, the issues were nonstop. As an adult in my twenties, I started taking daily probiotics and the issues became farther and fewer in between. Not sure why I stopped (maybe laziness?) but it's been a few years since I've taken probiotics and yes, the stomach issues, such as bloating and discomfort, came back.

This past month I decided to put a bigger focus on my health. I'm starting up with pilates again (it's been almost an entire year since I last did pilates!) and am even branching out and trying new activities like spin. I make sure to drink water throughout the day, eat healthier and I've started taking probiotics again. Each day I take a probiotic from LoveBug Probiotics to help keep my gut healthy and get my digestive tract back on track.

LoveBug Probiotics available at Target for digestive health

LoveBug has several types of probiotics that are ultimately designed to restore gut health by repopulating the microbiome with good-for-you bacteria. We have natural probiotics in our bodies  (live bacteria and yeast) that  often come from foods, such as yogurt, but sometimes it just isn't enough and that's where supplements like these can come in to help. Probiotics are especially helpful to take if you've had an infection and had to take antibiotics, which in turn may have depleted your 'good' supply of bacteria.

I have currently been taking the Here's The Skinny probiotic once daily. This is Lovebug's general probiotic that is good for gut health and replenishing those good bacterias, can help weight-control issues, and help to restore overall energy and mood- when you feel good, you FEEL good, right?

They also offer Yeast Is A Beast, a probiotic blend that contains cranberry extract and is specifically designed for women to promote urinary tract health and decrease bad yeast; along with probiotics for kids; and Colds Suck, an immunity-boosting probiotic and vitamin blend.

LoveBug Probiotics available at Target for digestive health

I have found a noticeable difference in how I feel overall since starting my probiotic regimen- in my experience they do help with stomach issues and has lessened any bloating I would experience. Paired with eating healthier, and exercising, I've found that I have more energy and that 'good' feeling all over.

If you've been curious if probiotics are for you, you can find LoveBug Probiotics at online and in-stores at Target. Be sure to consult your doctor for any health advice.

Have you tried probiotics?

May Beauty Favorites

A Good Hue May Beauty Favorites

Happy Monday! I realized I missed April's beauty favorites so I wanted to make sure to share the products I was loving throughout the month of May. I've been trying to use up the products I own but sometimes I can't help picking up a few newbies here and there. Here's what I'm currently loving:

1. Marc Jacobs Beauty Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter:
I received this highlighter back in April from Influenster and have been all over it since. It's totally different from any other liquid highlighter I've used-- it is infused with coconut and has an intense brightening effect when used as a highlighter. I will wear it along on top of foundation or sometimes I will mix it in with my foundation to give my skin a beautiful all-over-glow.

You have to be quick with blending it in though, since it is a gel formula this highlighter sets quickly.

2. It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer:
Someone recommended this to me on Instagram and I've loved almost every It Cosmetics product I've tried... this one did not disappoint. It covers under the eye extremely well, covering up any dark circles, along with any blemishes or redness on my skin. I like to use a dab under the eyes, around my nose and on my chin where I typically get breakouts. Once I set it with a little powder, it stays put all day. It also has anti-aging properties and is infused with hyaluronic acid, vitamins, and hydrolyzed collagen,

A little goes a long way and it blends in nicely. If you're on the hunt for a good, full-coverage concealer, give this one a try.

3. Spela Cosmetics Paint & Play Matte Liquid Lipstick:
I picked up this liquid lip a few months ago while attending the Indie Beauty Expo. All Spela's products are vegan and cruelty-free. I absolutely love this pretty shade, Flirt, which is a pale dusty rose shade. The liquid lip is long-wearing and is truly matte and feels nice on the lips-- it's not drying and doesn't settle into lip lines.

4. Wander Beauty On-the-Glow Blush and Illuminator:
I've been wanting to try the blush and highlighter duos for awhile not and finally picked up the shade Berry Whisper/ Nude Glow. I am absolutely loving it- it glides on super smoothly and the blush is buildable and blends nicely onto skin. The highlight is super pretty and gives a nice, natural looking illumination. This 2-in-1 product is perfect to throw in your vacation makeup bag, gym bag or purse for on-the-go (glow?) touch-ups.

What beauty items are you currently loving? Share in the comments!

How-To: Nighttime Face Washing Routine with Olay Daily Facials Cleansing Cloths

Even though I'm a full-face makeup wearer, since high school I've been fairly consistent with paying special attention to my skin and taking care of it to look it's best. With a full-time job, blogging and constantly being on-the-go though, by the end of a long day I'm usually just too tired for a full skin care regimen, which should include a face cleanser, exfoliator or face scrub, using a makeup remover and then applying toner. Whew, I'm getting tired just thinking about all the steps! I need something easy and fuss-free before heading to bed.

Lucky for me, that's where Olay Daily Facials Daily Clean 4-in-1 Water Activated Cleansing Cloths come in. These cleansing cloths are not just your ordinary face wipes-- they deeply clean skin to remove makeup, dirt and oil. They are textured to help exfoliate skin, removing dead skin or stuck-on makeup and also help to tone the skin. The formula is ultra-hydrating and conditioning, acting similar to the benefits of a facial mask. Pretty awesome, right?

How-To: Nighttime Face Washing Routine with Olay Daily Facials Cleansing Cloths

The cleansing cloths are packaged dry, meaning they require water to activate. This is especially great for traveling or stashing a couple in your bag for on-the-go or to use at the gym. Simply run under the faucet and then rub together to create a lather. Wipe over entire face, including the eye area, and then rinse off using a damp cloth. These innovative cloths are extremely gentle, making them safe to use in the eye area and are fantastic at removing stubborn eye makeup, even mascara!

How-To: Nighttime Face Washing Routine with Olay Daily Facials Cleansing Cloths

How-To: Nighttime Face Washing Routine with Olay Daily Facials Cleansing Cloths

After using the cleansing cloths, my feels smooth, deeply clean and hydrated, not dry and tight which typically happens when I use other wipes. With a towel, I gently pat my entire face dry, not using scrubbing or pulling motions which can irritate skin or pull on the skin.

To finish my nighttime routine, I apply a moisturizer or nighttime facial oil to keep my skin hydrated all night long. By keeping to a nighttime face washing routine I find that my skin continues to look healthy, brighter and overall feels better! These wipes can be used in lieu of your daytime cleanser as well and are especially good for those #NoMakeupRequired type of days when I go makeup free but still want fab looking skin. You can find more information and shop for the cleansing cloths here.

Recipe File: The Best Chocolate Chip Cookie

The Best Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe

Chewy on the inside, crispy around the edges. That's how I like my chocolate chip cookies. Growing up I usually made (or rather helped make) the recipe on the back of the chocolate chip bag (anyone else??) Over the years I've tried a few different recipes, some good and some total fails. Then I found the recipe for the best chocolate chip cookies. No joke. These cookies are yummy and just the way I like them- soft and chewy in the center with crispy, crunchy edges. Perfection.

How-To Use Beauty Facial Oils

How-To Use: Beauty Facial Oils

While browsing around online today :cough: wasting time :cough: I came across a pic of Chandler and Monica's wedding... saying that they would be celebrating their 16th wedding anniversary! Is that not nuts?!? I felt so old reading that... has it really been that long? Holy guacamole.

Even though I'm over 30, I like to think that I can pass for mid-twenties still. Since I was a teenager I've been pretty good with skin care-- washing my face and making sure to use moisturizer, especially since my skin can get dry. For the past couple years I have also been using oils more and more to help hydrate and give my skin a radiant look. I started with a pure argan oil and my oil collection has immensely grown since. Here's a few oils (all under $25!) that I have currently been loving:

Physicians Formula Bright Booster Oil Elixir: This has become one of my favorite daytime oils that I can wear on it's own, or under makeup. This lightweight elixir includes a mix of mongongo oil & rhodiola extract that helps to not only hydrate skin but helps it look more radiant. If you hate greasy feelings, you'll like this oil because it absorbs quickly and doesn't leave a greasy feel. Plus, it has a nice soft lavender scent.

Pixi Rose Oil Blend: Out of all the oils I have, I think this one has my favorite scent- like a fresh bouquet of roses, but not in an overpowering way. This oil blends sweet almond, rosehip, jojoba, pomegranate seed, and rose geranium oils that work together to nourish the complexion and help preserve youth... at least I hope it does. It feels so nice on skin-- luxurious and smoothing- it makes my skin feel super soft.

Perfectly Posh Call It a Night Nighttime Oil: Another mix, I apply this oil just before bed so it can work its hydrating magic overnight. It contains oils like jojoba, lavender (which is great for helping to promote restfulness!), rosemary, evening primrose oils and botanical extracts such as green tea which packs some antioxidant power.

Physicians Formula Illuminating Argan Oil: A twist on the pure argan oil, this illuminating oil includes soft specks of shimmer that really give my skin a glowing finish. I love pairing this oil with foundation-- either applying it before the foundation OR mixing it directly into my foundation. To be honest, this oil looks a bit scary- like its packed full of glitter- but don't let that deceive you. When applying, the shimmer is light and just blends effortlessly into skin leaving a very pretty glow. I definitely recommend giving this one a try!

While my skin is on the drier side and I tend to use them for moisturizing benefits but did you know that facial oils can be good for oily skin as well? Some oils are great for oily skin and even acne prone skin as well. Reach for jojoba, argan or marula oils and other plant-based oils to give skin a radiant glow and reap the antioxidant benefits of these oils.

Tell me, do you use facial oils? If so, what's your fave?

Red Florals in Napa + LINKUP

Dress: Banana Republic (similar styles here and here) | Sandals: JustFab | Purse: Kate Spade New York (similar style) | Sunglasses: Kate Spade New York

Ah, this week has been crazy busy! I've been working on a big project at work- a video shoot- and the shoot is this week! It's been a lot of work to coordinate (and stress!) but I can't wait to see it come alive, fingers crossed all goes well.

This week I'm all about the bold colors, such as the vibrant red of this dress that I wore in Napa a few weeks ago. Even though this dress is from last year, it's still one of my favorites for adding a punch of color. For more styling ideas, you can see how I wore it here.

Citrus Orange Margarita for Cinco de Mayo

Citrus Orange Margarita

Like most, my first experience with tequila was not a good one. At all. I was about 16 or 17 and took a few regrettable shots (most likely in secret, sorry mom!) during a family party. I feel like most people have had an oh-no moment with tequila, right?? To this day I still cannot take a shot of tequila straight, however I will enjoy a good margarita every now and then.

Tomorrow is Cinco de Mayo and what better to pair your tacos and nachos with than a yummy, refreshing citrusy orange margarita? A twist on the classic lime margarita, this one has bold citrus flavors with the perfect blend of tart from the citrus and sweetness from the agave. Yum, yum!

Citrus Orange Margarita
1 cup Tequila (preferrably silver- this type of tequila is best for margaritas!)
1/2 cup Orange Juice
1 cup Lime Juice
2-4 tbsp Agave Sweetener (more or less depending on how sweet you want it, I like my margaritas on the sour side)
Orange or Clementine Slices, for garnish
Margarita Salt, for garnish

Mix the first four ingredients in a pitcher and stir. Taste and add more agave sweetener if desired.

Moisten the rim of the glass with an orange slice and then dip the glass rim into the margarita salt. Add ice to the glass and pour margarita over ice. Garnish with orange slice. ¡Salud!

Note: This recipe would be fantastic with a smoke-infused or  jalapeño-infused tequila for an extra kick!

Floral Romper + Napa Wine Tasting

Forever21 Floral Romper Under $10
Floral Romper: Forever21 (similar) | Denim Jacket: H&M | Tassel Sandals: JustFab | Fringe Bag: Target (similar here) | Wrap Bracelet: Gorjana | Necklace: Stella & Dot

After a busy last few weeks and a short break, I am back on the grind with A Good Hue. At the end of April and just before my birthday, we spent a long weekend up in the Bay Area hanging out in Napa and a quick stop in San Francisco. While we were up in Napa the weather was absolutely incredible-- sunny but not too hot, and just perfect for sipping some wines. One of the wineries we visited in Inglenook, which was originally started in 1879 and was later bought by Francis Ford Coppola. The winery doesn't disappoint in terms of views, grandeur and wines (of course!). If anyone is planning a trip to Napa soon, I highly recommend stopping  here. I'll be sharing a few more of my Napa musts in a guide here on A Good Hue soon :P

What pairs best on warm days and a glass of wine? Rompers, duh! Okay, maybe not but it worked out on this day. Keep reading to see more of this outfit and find out the amazing price I scored this romper for!

Makeup Monday: Multi-Misting with Pixi Face Mists

Pixi Beauty Face Mists

Happy May all! I'm almost not too sure if I should talk about warm weather skin care or cold weather. It's been in the upper 80's here in SoCal but I saw the midwest was covered in snow... wha?!? I figured I better stick to a new trend that anyone can enjoy, anytime, depending on what your skin care needs are.  Have you ever heard of multi-misting?

Multi-misting is basically layering your face mists to reap the most skin care benefits and nourishment, which is awesome because A) It's super easy- just a few spritz here and there and B) It's a lightweight way to get all your skin care benefits, no heavy moisturizers and serums. Pixi has several face mists in their collection that can be mixed and matched depending on your skin care needs. Here's a peek at my multi-misting routine and why you need to get on the multi-misting train:

Vitamin Wakeup Mist: This lovely mist is infused with energizing orange blossom and citrus extracts to help wake up and perk up skin, which is especially helpful in the morning when any extra perk is much appreciated. This mist helps to tone the skin and revitalize your complexion, while cooling and refreshing the skin.

Hydrating Milky Mist: This one sounds odd (milky mist??) but it's actually one of my favorite face mists. This mist-on moisturizer It gives my normal-dry skin an extra dose of hydration and leaves it feeling moisturized and soft. This mist contains hyaluronic acid which helps to plump the skin to make it look supple and healthy. This is perfect to use just after washing (you can use it as a nighttime treatment, too!) or after using the Vitamin Wakeup Mist.

Glow Mist: Before applying my makeup and after letting the Hydrating Milky Mist absorb, I will then give my skin a spritz of the Pixi Glow Mist to give it a healthy-looking glow. This mist is enriched with 21 natural oils, fruit extracts, argan oil and aloe vera to help soothe skin. I love how it instantly gives my skin a luminous look-- I will also spritz this mist after washing my face in the evening for an extra dose of glow.

Makeup Fixing Mist: Finally, after apply my makeup I reach for the Makeup Fixing Mist to set my makeup. If you have oilier skin, I would recommend this mist as it helps keep everything in place. This mist is non-sticky and has good-for-skin ingredients like rose water and green tea to help give skin nourishment.

I love that each of these has a fine mist sprayer, meaning you'll get a perfect spray of mist over your entire face. Each of these mists are $15 and can be used throughout the day as a refresher.  Which mist is your pick? Tell me!

It's My Birthday!

Banana Republic Red Tie Neck Dress

It's my birthday! I can't really believe that I'm 32 today... ahh, did I just admit that?!? This month also marks A Good Hue's fourth blogiversary so there's lots of celebrations going on over here.

Apologies to all my readers for being MIA for the past week. I was on vacation in Napa for a very long weekend (more on that later) and between getting caught up at work, getting the pets back into their routines, and cleaning up the house (who ever thought 1 cat could make such a mess while we were gone??), I just haven't been able to get myself back on track just yet. Soon, soon I promise! I decided to take my birthday week off and will be back next with an all new outfit post (here's a sneak peek), beauty posts and maybe even a super yummy margarita recipe just in time for Cinco de Mayo festivities.

Thanks to all for your continued support and the birthday love, I truly appreciate it!

Blushing Blooms Outfit + LINKUP

Photos by: miysl photography

Growing up if you had asked me what my favorite bird was, I would probably have said the swallow. They have an unmistakable shape and are so acrobatic yet graceful when in flight. Each spring after having migrated to Argentina for the winter, they return to Mission San Juan Capistrano here in Southern California. Yes, some 6,000 miles away! Funny enough, I found out that they are now nesting in and making Chino Hills their home, which is where these photos in this post were taken. Once after touring the mission, my grandparents bought me a tiny glass sparrow that I kept on my dresser for years afterwards, in fact, I'm pretty sure I have it in a box somewhere. It's a special reminder that life is full of journeys but there's still no place like home.

How-To: At-Home Mani

How-To: At Home Manicure with Lauren B. Beauty

I remember that once in my early teens I was getting a manicure at a salon and had thought to myself, "I can do this". From then on I started giving myself at-home manis and pedis... and anyone else who would let me. I even had one of those cool foot spas that bubbled and had a massager on the bottom... fancy, huh?

While I will still occasionally get my nails done in a salon (usually if I want gels), more often I still give myself manis. Here's how to get the perfect, salon quality manicure at home:

Step 1: Soak nails & hands
You can make a basic nail soak of water and baking soda or mix up a more elaborate DIY nail soak. I tried a soak with coconut oil, jojoba oil, honey and lavender oil and it left my skin feeling super soft and moisturized.

Step 2: Exfoliate
Remove dead skin with the Lauren B. Beauty Polishing Hand Scrub. This luxurious feeling hand scrub gently exfoliates removing dry skin and includes Vitamin E, aloe, and sunflower seed oil to help soften skin, cuticles and reveal more healthier looking hands.

Step 3: Moisturize
Apply the Lauren B. Beauty Nourishing Hand Creme to soften and hydrate hands. This hand lotion is weightless and has a thin formula but packs some major moisturization. When first applied, I thought it might be too greasy but it absorbed quickly and left hands feeling soft, hydrated with a soft floral scent. I made sure to really massage the lotion into my cuticles to help soften them. Skyy Hadley, the owner of As U Wish Nail Salon, is a firm believer in tending to your cuticles for strong and healthy nails. She points out that having dry, scraggly cuticles is not a good look and may even make you want to pick at them, which can lead to a bacterial infection... yuck! She also recommends to keep the nail beds and areas around nails moisturized, which will help the nail polish stay in place longer.

Step 4: Shape Nails
Push back softened cuticles using  and orange stick and then file nails. I like using block files that also include a buffer and shiner to add a healthy shine to nails.

Step 5: Apply Serum
Brush on the Lauren B. Beauty Nail Growth Serum and let sink in for a few minutes. I have been applying this a couple times a week for the past few weeks and find that my nails feel stronger. The serum contains a blend of antioxidants, amino acids Vitamins E and C, and biotin to help strengthen and grow nails and is great for those with fragile nails that break easily.

Step 6: Paint Nails
For nail color that lasts, start by applying a base coat. Let dry, then apply two coats of your favorite polish. Seal with a top coat and let dry completely.

*I received product from Lauren B. Beauty for review purposes. All opinions are my own, no monetary compensation has been provided. Thank you for supporting the brands that support A Good Hue.

Spring Floral Easter Dress

H&M Floral Dress | LC Lauren Conrad Runway Collection Heels (similar) | Felt Fedora Hat | Stella & Dot Necklace

Can I just say that I am thrilled tomorrow is Friday? This week has felt long. Work has been crazy busy, which is good because I like keeping busy, but it's that week of the month and I just feel fatigued and sluggish. I have lists and so many things to get done but I just cannot get on it this week. Do you ever have days like that?

I am looking forward to a nice, Easter weekend but I have a few things I need to do, especially since next week we'll be heading to Napa! I'm excited to take a few days off, sip some good wines and just relax. I've barely even had time to go shopping lately, although last time I did I came across this pretty floral dress. Doesn't it just scream 'spring is here!' to you? Continue reading to see more of this springy floral outfit>>

Make Believe In Yourself: Spellbound Glow Rainbow Highlighter

I walked into Forever 21 last week and no joke, it looked like a unicorn threw up it's lunch all over the place. It was bright colors, rainbows and holographic pieces everywhere. This holographic unicorn craze has even made it's way over to the beauty section and honestly? I'm not hating it.

It's no secret I love a good highlighter and there has been some beautiful ones released recently (hello, Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Prismatic Amethyst!) in shades you wouldn't normally see a highlighter in such as various tones of purples and blues. I'm loving how these iridescent beauties have made their way into other aspects of the beauty aisle- lips, eyes, even skin with the Farsali Unicorn Essence.

Above are some of my picks that I am dying to try-- most especially the Milk Makeup Holographic Stick, Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops in Halo and the Bite Beauty Opal Creme Lipstick. Truth be told, I'll gladly add all these to my makeup bag.

What do you think of the holographic craze? Would you rock holographic makeup?

Classic Prep & Denim Outfit + LINKUP

Outfit: Denim jacket with mid-rise black jeans and loafers

The beginning of spring always seems to be one of the busiest seasons. Maybe it's because the weather is warming up and I'm able to (and want to) do more. Or, maybe it's because of Daylight Savings and the longer daytime hours. April is especially going to be a busy month-- it's my birthday month (woohoo!) and we have a trip planned to Napa at the end of the month, I can't wait!

This week I'm sharing an everyday, classic preppy look. Has anyone else been addicted to loafers lately? They're super cute and I love the lighter shade selections for spring! Keep reading to see more of this outfit, plus join this week's Good HUES-Day linkup>>

Makeup Monday: March Beauty Favorites

March Beauty Favorites

I had the most uneventful weekend and honestly, I had no problem with that. I ran a few errands (super fun stuff like buying a new toothbrush and doing the weekly grocery shopping), relaxed, took the dog for a walk and a whole lot of nothing. Good stuff, right? I did make some chicken enchiladas with a from-scratch enchilada sauce (recipe here) that was super yummy. At the beginning of each month I'm always surprised at a couple things. First, how it's already April (my birthday month!) and second, how I still have so many beauty products to share, which is either a really cool thing or it could be indicative that I have a problem... nah, no makeup addiction here. Here's the beauty products that I was loving in March:

How pretty is the Pixi Beauty x ItsJudyTime It'sEyeTimeEye Shadow Palette? This palette of 12 eye shades contains shadows that are silky smooth and blend nicely. I love mixing up the colors and trying new combos-- so many pretty looks to create from soft, champagne eyes to a smoldering smokey look. Plus, this palette is under $25--- insane!

While I don't think it will take the place of my HG Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara, I found myself reaching for the Tarte Tarteist Lash Paint Mascara all month long... and still am. While I don't get the mega volume like my HG, I do get amazing lash definition. The formula is fantastic- not heavy and doesn't clump- and the wand pulls the mascara through lashes perfectly for volume and definition. Definitely a winner!

Eye shadow primers can make such a difference in the wear of your eyeshadows. Lately I've been using Physicians Formula #InstaReady Eye Primer Duo-- yes, you read that right, "duo" as in you get two in one. One of the primers is a typical matte primer- perfect for everyday looks, especially when wearing matte or satin shadows and is especially great for those with oily lids. The other duo is this gorgeous champagne shimmery pink shade designed to be worn with shimmery shadows. I've been wearing this shimmery primer on it's own-- it's the perfect go-to for those on-the-go type of days when you don't have time to create a full eye look. So pretty!

I've actually been using these Luxie Beauty Makeup Brushes on the daily for almost a year now and realized I haven't featured them! They are synthetic brushes, meaning they're cruelty-free and vegan. I've been using both eye and face brushes and find that the quality is fantastic, especially for the price.  The bristles are soft, easy to clean, and how cute are the pink handles and rose gold detail??

Speaking of rose gold, I have been loving the Wet n Wild MegaGlo Highlighting Powder in Crown of My Canopy, which is a gorgeous coppery rose gold shade. This highlighter applies super smooth and the payoff is WHOA- an intensely perfect glow. While I typically reach for lighter highlight shades, this one looks absolutely stunning on. Best part? It's only $5!

Ulta Beauty 21 Days of Beauty Top Picks

Beauty lovers rejoice, it's Ulta Beauty's 21 Days of Beauty! This special beauty event features exclusive products, offers, tons of free GWPs and a whole lot of beauty goodness. Here's a few of my top picks:

1. If you are a Benefit Cosmetics Hoola Bronzer lover, then you are going to flip over the Hoola Cream-to-Powder Quickie Contour Stick, an Ulta exclusive! This stick makes contouring easy by allowing you to easily contour cheekbones, nose and temples. Since it is a cream-to-powder formula, it will blend easily.

PS- Score a free Watt's Up Highlighter and Hoola makeup bag with any $45 Benefit purchase.

2. The limited-edition NARS NARSissist Loaded Eyeshadow Palette is only available online, including Ulta.com. and includes 12 neutral shadow shades in a mix of shimmers and mattes. The colors in this palette are rich and warm, I can easily see this becoming a go-to palette. Hurry and scoop one up before they're gone!

3. I always keep an eye out for cool sets during these beauty events and the Tarte Double Duty Beauty Kind is the New Pretty Color Collection, is one of those. This is an Ulta-exclusive set that includes a cheek palette with highlighter, blush and bronzer, and the Lip Sculptor Double Ended Gloss in a pretty mauve shade.

4. This week, Ulta Beauty is offering Buy 2, Get 2 FREE on select bath and body products, including the 3-in-1 Juice Smoothie, which is a shower gel, bubble bath and shampoo all in one! There's several scents available, my favorite being lemon.

5.  What can I say? I love trios, especially highlight, blush and bronzer trios and the Becca Sunchaser Palette is definitely on my lust list. The blush is a pretty peachy apricot shade, perfect for spring/summer, the trio also includes a sun-kissed bronzer and the highlight is the best-selling Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Opal. So pretty! Plus, get a free deluxe First Light Priming Filter with $30+ Becca purchase.

6. I recently received an email announcing Urban Decay's new Meltdown launches, one of which being the Meltdown Makeup Remover Dissolving Spray, which is a makeup remover that you spray on. Kinda cool, right? I would love to see this in action!

PS- Get a free deluxe Perversion Mascara and Vice Lipstick 24-sample pod with any $40 UD purchase.

7. Secret time-- I've never ever tried anything from Mario Badescu but I've read so many rave review on it. Ulta currently has regimen kits for different skin concerns- oily, combo/dry, brightening, etc. for $30. The combo/dry regimen includes a face wash, toner, moisturizer, mask, and eye cream. Plus, you get a 3-piece GWP with $35 purchase.

8. How pretty are the highlight shades in the Smashbox Spotlight Palette? The palette features three shades and three finishes- from a light glow to a strong shimmer. This palette was created in partnership with YouTuber Casey Holmes and there are two versions Pearl (pictured) and Gold.

PS- Free makeup bag, deluxe Photo Finish Primer and LA Lights with $35 Smashbox purchase.

What's on your lust list from Ulta Beauty's 21 Days of Beauty event?
