This month I had the opportunity to visit New York and while it was insanely hot for a few days, my dry skin was drinking up the humidity. Since my skin is on the dry side and since I live in a drier climate, as I grow older my skin will be a lot more susceptible to the woes that come with aging such as wrinkles and developing fine lines. I do know that by continuously using a good moisturizer and keeping my skin hydrated that I can lessen the look of fine lines and wrinkles as I age. Unfortunately, so many of the most hyped up creams on the market are super pricey… as in hundreds of dollars pricey. I don’t know about you, but a $300 face cream is not in my budget. What is in my budget, however, is the comparable and ultra-affordable (under $30!) Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream, which I have recently added to my beauty regimen.
Although my skin doesn’t show too many visible signs of aging, it’s never too early to start incorporating these types of products into your daily skin care regimen as a preventative measure. I have started using this Micro-Sculpting Cream in the mornings prior to applying my makeup and again in the evenings after washing my face before bed. I find that this anti-aging cream instantly provides a firming effect and helps to hydrate and moisturize my normal-dry skin, especially my forehead where I’ve already noticed a few fine lines.
The Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream includes ingredients such as carob seed extract, which has been found to aid in skin repair and regeneration, vitamin B3 to maintain moisture, vitamin E to protect against those pesky free-radicals, amino-peptides to decrease the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, Olivem, a derivative of olive oil which is oh-so-good for skin and glycerin and hyaluronic acid to boost hydration.
I love that this cream is intensely moisturizing- it's thick and feels luxurious yet blends into skin effortlessly and does not leave a greasy feel. While I haven't been using it long-enough to see major results, it does give a firming feeling and instantly hydrates my dry skin. Here's a peek at my skin after just a few days of use:
Don’t just take my word for it. The Good Housekeeping Institute’s Beauty Lab conducted a study testing the Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream against 10 prestige facial creams (one even costing $440!). The outcome proved that the Olay cream was a top performer by being fast-acting, providing long-lasting hydration, had a lightweight texture and included firming and plumping ingredients that improved skin’s overall texture. Um, kind of amazing right?
You can find the Olay anti-aging cream online and in-stores in the Olay section. If you've been wanting firmer, more hydrated skin with anti-aging benefits, I highly recommend you try this cream out. Tell me, are you currently using an anti-aging cream in your skin care routine?
