Aloha! I hope you all had a wonderful Fourth of July-- I spent most of the long weekend keeping cool indoors, binge-watching Friday Night Lights on Netflix and just being generally lazy. After such a busy June though I felt it was much deserved, but now I'm trying to get my butt in gear by sharing new content, including today's review of the latest POPSUGAR Must Have Box.

I used to be ADDICTED to these Starbucks Frappuccino coffee drinks, like at least one a day (vanilla and caramel are my faves!). I'll still occasionally reach for one-- they're so yummy and refreshing when chilled... perfect to throw in the cooler when camping or when you need a little pick-me-up at the beach. Pst... and there's a coupon offer for $1 off your next purchase of one, YES! I'm keeping these blue and white party straws from Meri Meri nearby to pop into my drinks and sip with. Um, how cute are these cookie butter Belgian Boys Mini Cookie Stash mustache cookies? You can't help give yourself a 'stache before eating them- so fun!
The box also came with a splash-proof pouch from Aloha Collection, which is great for the beach, on the boat or whenever you're around water and need to keep your essentials (like those yummy cookies) dry. I probably would have never gone out of my way to purchase a bag like this, but I'm loving the summer palm print and the size is great for stuffing all my must-haves in.
I live in Southern California near the desert and the summer heat can be SO drying for my skin- including my hands and nails. Lucky for me the NCLA So Rich Mermaid Tears Cuticle Oil was included in this month's box. This oil is infused with vitamin E, sunflower seed oil and has an amazing honeysuckle fragrance- by far the best smelling cuticle oil I've ever tried.
Speaking of fantastic scents, the Captain Blankenship Mermaid Sea Salt Hair Spray smells absolutely lovely and is made with all natural (and organic!) ingredients such as Atlantic sea salt, aloe vera, sea kelp extract, rose geranium and palmarosa essential oils. I am a huge fan of sea salt sprays and this one is simply fab. My hair has a natural wave in it so during the summer days I'll let it air dry then use my straightener to add more waves and finally spritz this spray into my hair, scrunching it to get those piece-y beach waves.
I'm not sure huge into trucker hats but this Billabong Aloha Trucker Hat is totally cute for the beach, lake or vacay... and for those not so great summer hair days! I remember during my college days when trucker hats used to be all the rage, I guess they're making a comeback now? While these may not be totally my style of hats, it will definitely get some use when I need something more casual than my go-to straw hats.
This month's box also includes the recently released book The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid. I am a huge bookworm and love a good summer read so I am all over this. It will be nice to take a break from Kindle to read an actual hardback book- there's still nothing like the feel of a book in your hands. According to the synopsis, this novel is about a "classic film actress’s relentless rise to the top—the risks she took, the loves she lost, and the long-held secrets the public could never imagine... and is a fascinating journey through the splendor of Old Hollywood into the harsh realities of the present day as two women struggle with what it means—and what it takes—to face the truth." Sounds intriguing, right? I have another book to finish up before I start on this one but I can't wait. I think I'll bring it with me to the beach next week!
Overall I am loving the summer vibes of this box and truly like all the products included-- even the ones I wouldn't normally pick up for myself like the hat or bag.
